UFC 324 Octagon Interview: Natália Silva critical of performance

Published:

No. 2 ranked women’s flyweight contender Natália Silva defeated former two-time flyweight titleholder Rose Namajunas on the UFC 324 main card on Saturday.

The decision was a bit controversial with many news outlets scoring the fight for Namajunas. Following the fight, in her octagon interview with Joe Rogan, Silva said she wasn’t happy with her performance.

“I am so happy to be here. I am so grateful,” she said immediately after the judges’ scorecards were read. “I’m sorry guys because this was not my best moment. I was not at my best. Only God knows how hard it was for me to be here now. I want to give him the glory because I would not be here in this fight if it weren’t for him.”

“A lot of people were putting me as a very favorite but that’s not how things work. Rose is an amazing athlete and I was putting this and facing this as the toughest fight of my life.”
