Teofimo Lopez vs Shakur Stevenson – How to watch it

Published:

World championship boxing returns on Saturday as Teofimo Lopez defends his WBO super lightweight world title against Shakur Stevenson.

Stevenson steps up to a fourth different weight class since his professional debut in 2017 and will hope he can adapt to the weight in order to dethrone Lopez.

‘The Takeover’ has just one loss in his career which came in his clash with George Kambosos Jr at Madison Square Garden in 2022.

He has picked up some big wins following the defeat including a unanimous decision victory over former undisputed super lightweight star Josh Taylor.

Lopez won his WBO world title with a split decision win over Sandor Martin despite going down in the second.

He was last in action in May 2025 where he outclassed Arnold Barboza Jr over 12 rounds.

Stevenson was a star in the amateurs, picking up a silver medal at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. He also won a youth Olympic gold in 2014.

Some of Stevenson’s standout professional wins include a one-sided beatdown of Joet Gonzalez back in 2022 to win the vacant WBO featherweight world title.

He was last in action in July where he completely outclassed William Zepeda over 12 rounds.
