Teofimo Lopez vs Shakur Stevenson – Odds and Betting Guide

Published:

Shakur Stevenson is the betting favourite to dethrone Teofimo Lopez in their highly-anticipated world title showdown in New York on Saturday.

Stevenson attempts to become a four-weight world champion when he challenges Lopez for his WBO super lightweight title at Madison Square Garden, live on DAZN pay-per-view.

The Newark man, who is the reigning WBC lightweight champion, heads into Saturday’s fight as a 10/37 favourite with Bet365.

Lopez, making a fourth defence of his crown, is a marginal underdog with Bet365 at 27/10.

The Brooklyn man has only lost once in his career to George Kambosos Jr in 2021 on points at lightweight and Stevenson is expected to inflict another decision defeat on his record, priced at 4/9.

Stevenson, who overcame William Zepeda by unanimous decision in July to defend his 135 pound title, has one knockout in his last four bouts and is seen at 7/1 to pull off a shock stoppage win.

If Lopez does defy the odds, it is likely to be on points at 5/1, with his last five bouts going the distance.

A stoppage win for ‘The Takeover’ is priced at 8/1.
