Fran Hennessy looks to close in on a maiden world title shot when she faces Ellie Bouttell on Saturday’s BOXXER bill.
Adam Azim was set to headline the card against Gustavo Lemos, but both men were forced to pull out with injuries, with Hennessy’s clash with Bouttell elevated to main event.
Hennessy is unbeaten in seven professional fights and vies for the vacant WBC Silver bantamweight crown at the Copper Box Arena.
The 21-year-old overcame Fabiana Bytyqi by unanimous decision on the undercard of Jeamie TKV’s victory over Frazer Clarke in November.
Bouttell, who was born in Nottinghamshire, has spent her eight professional bouts on the road and fights in the UK for the first time in her career.
The 29-year-old has won seven bouts in a row since a split decision draw on her debut.
Their clash is a final eliminator for undisputed champion, Cherneka Johnson’s WBC belt.
