Xander Zayas is the betting favourite to defeat Abass Baraou in their super welterweight unification on Saturday.
Zayas makes a first defence of his WBO belt in a homecoming clash in Puerto Rico against WBA titlist, Baraou, live on the Top Rank Classics FAST channel in the USA
Zayas, unbeaten in 22 professional bouts, heads into Saturday’s bout as a 1/4 favourite with Bet365.
Baraou, who has only lost once in his career against Jack Culcay in 2020 and scored an upset win over Yoenis Tellez in August, is the underdog once again at 29/10.
The home favourite secured the vacant belt by unanimous decision against Jorge Garcia Perez in New York in July and is expected to win on points at 8/15, while a victory inside the distance is valued at 5/1.
If Baraou pulls off the upset, it is likely to be by decision at 5/1.
The 31-year-old German hasn’t scored a stoppage win in five outings and his chances of landing one here are rated at 9/1.
