Conor McGregor begins training camp for UFC White House event

Published:

Former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor‘s long anticipated return to the octagon could be actually happening. “Notorious” released a video on social media Tuesday titled “White House Camp Begins.”

In the video, McGregor spars with training partners and gives a motivational speech to start his preparation to return.

“Camp 100% this is. Yeah? We’re going in there 100%. I’m going into this fight 100% Conor McGregor,” he said. “Not 92. 100% Conor McGregor.”

Conor McGregor White House Training Camp Begins

McGregor last fought at UFC 264 in July 2021 losing to Dustin Poirier in a trilogy fight after suffering a broken leg in the closing moments of the opening round.

McGregor was scheduled to make a comeback three years ago against Michael Chandler. McGregor and Chandler coached The Ultimate Fighter 31 as opposing coaches. The filming began in Feb. 2023. The two were expected to fight following the season but McGregor’s media obligations to promote the movie remake of ‘Road House’ pushed the fight date back. The two were scheduled to headline UFC 303 last June but McGregor was forced out of the match due to a toe injury.
