He’s back! Tyson Fury latest boxer to headline Netflix event on April 11 — but his opponent may surprise you

Jake Paul walked so that Tyson Fury could run.

“The Gypsy King” will return from his seventeenth retirement to headline a special Netflix boxing event on Sat., April 11, 2026 in the United Kingdom; however, an exact city and venue have yet to be determined. Opposing the former WBC heavyweight champion is WBA Inter-Continental titleholder Arslanbek Makhmudov.

The 37 year-old Fury (34-2-1) walked away from the “sweet science” following consecutive losses to Oleksandr Usyk back in 2024, claiming it was “a young man’s game.” Then just a few weeks back, “The Gypsy King” declared his intent to return because “he had nothing better to do.”

“Excited to be back,” Fury said in today’s release. “Heart’s always been and always will be in boxing. Someone go tell the king that the ace is back!”

The 36 year-old Makhmudov (21-2) is coming off back-to-back wins over Ricardo Brown and David Allen in 2025, the latter of which landed the Russian “Lion” the WBA Inter-Continental heavyweight title. Makhmudov is a prolific finisher, having scored 19 knockouts in 21 wins over the course of his nine-year career.

“I am thrilled about the opportunity,” Makhmudov said. “I’m coming to deliver a war. Tyson Fury has been a big champion. I will be more ready than ever to leave with a massive W.”

The Netflix undercard for April 11 is expected to be announced in the coming days.
