The Onikan Stadium in Lagos, Nigeria held a card that included several talents, and at the head of affairs, former two-weight world champion Lawrence Okolie dominated as he forced Ebenezer Tetteh to retire after two rounds of their scheduled heavyweight 10-rounder.
Okolie (23-1, 17 KOs) was last out in July making a successful defence of his WBC Silver belt, widely outscoring Kevin Lerena over 10 rounds at Wembley Stadium. Tetteh (23-4, 20 KOs) was coming into this one off the back of two straight losses, retiring after seven against Dillian Whyte in December 2024, before Frazer Clarke took less than two minutes to dismiss the Ghanaian in April.
A right hand troubled the 37-year-old almost from the opening bell, and he looked wobbled every time Okolie landed cleanly.
Another well-timed right hand shook Tetteh to his boots, and he bravely made the end of the round, but the writing looked firmly on the wall.
‘The Sauce’ was relaxed in his approach, and his right hand was doing the damage, while the left came into play to drop Tetteh in the second.
Tetteh somehow saw the round out, but he looked like he didn’t want to be in the ring, and that was proven as he failed to come out for the third round.
Okolie is the number one contender for Oleksandr Usyk’s WBC title, but the 33-year-old could face Moses Itauma after the WBC ordered the pair to fight earlier this month.

Yoka destroys Korte
France’s former Olympic Gold medalist, Tony Yoka wasted little time in banking victory against Patrick Korte, needing just under two minutes of a scheduled 10-rounder to emphatically take the win.
Yoka (15-3, 12 KOs) unloaded with several unanswered jabs, and a right uppercut that followed poleaxed Korte (23-6-1, 19 KOs) in delayed fashion, and he was unable to continue.

Remaining Undercard
In six-rounders, Shiloh Defreitas (7-0, 3 KOs) took a points win against Kabiru Salawu (7-2-2, 6 KOs) at welterweight, and lightweight prospect Basit Adebayo (9-0-1, 4 KOs) was held to a draw against Sikiru Shogbesan (23-4-1, 10 KOs), with both on the deck in the opening round.
At super lightweight, 17-year-old Raheem Animashaun (19-0, 12 KOs) was a points winner against Isaac Chukwudi (5-4-1, 1 KO).
