Coach of the Year!
Branden Bordeaux coached four events in 2025 — PS11, PS13, PS16, and PS17 — plus three combines.
Ask the strikers. They’ll tell you the same thing. Preparation matters.
Branden “The Butcher” Bordeaux is a prominent figure in Power Slap, the slap fighting league founded by UFC president Dana White. Hailing from Fremont, Michigan, Bordeaux works as a butcher (which inspired his nickname) and previously ran a butcher shop with his brother. He aspired to become a UFC champion but a severe back injury requiring surgery derailed his MMA career. When Power Slap launched, he saw it as a new opportunity to compete professionally and pursue a world title. Career Highlights – Bordeaux quickly rose in the middleweight division:
- Competed in events like Power Slap 6, 8, 10, 12, and 15.
- Developed a fierce rivalry with Isaih “The Puerto Rican Pretty Boy” Quinones, leading to a trilogy:
- Lost the first fight (Power Slap 10, December 2024).
- Won the rematch with a first-round TKO (Power Slap 12, March 2025), capturing the middleweight title.
- Lost the trilogy decider by second-round KO (Power Slap 15, October 2025), dropping the belt.
In addition to competing, Bordeaux has taken on coaching roles in Power Slap, including international events (e.g., in Saudi Arabia). In 2025, he was named Coach of the Year after coaching at four events. He also serves as a brand ambassador for companies like Black Buffalo and aims to help grow the sport while leaving a legacy—possibly as a two-division champion.
