Fight fans shocked as ‘weight bully’ Vinicius Oliveira reveals 30-pound weight cut for UFC Vegas 113 main event

Vinicius Oliveira is not a small Bantamweight.

“Lokdog” stands at 5’9”, which in itself is tall but not outrageous for a 135-pounder. However, he’s no string bean, and all of his opponents who clinch up with Oliveira and try to wrestle quickly learn he’s rather strong. Add in a solid gas tank, and it’s no surprise that Oliveira has kicked off his UFC career with an impressive four-fight winning streak.

Size and physicality comes at a cost, however. Earlier this week, Oliveira revealed that he entered fight week at roughly 164 pounds, meaning the Brazilian slugger has to cut nearly 30 pounds in order to make the Bantamweight limit. Per Home of Fight’s Jack Noecker, Oliveira eventually intends to jump up to Featherweight after going on a Bantamweight title run.

At the UFC Vegas 113 media day, Oliveira also revealed that he can swell up to 50 pounds above the Bantamweight limit while outside of fight camp. Fans online were highly critical, as some labeled him a “weight bully” and many questioning why he was undergoing such a severe cut.

Oliveira’s Bantamweight time may be limited, but it may pay off this weekend (Sat., Feb. 7, 2026) in his UFC Vegas 113 battle versus Mario Bautista. Bautista is the cleaner technical striker and might have the wrestling edge, but Oliveira’s size and power are major assets in the matchup. If he mishandles the cut, however, it could wreck his gas tank in the first five-round main event of his UFC career.

We’ll find shortly.
