Highlights! ‘Sweetheart’ Veronika Smolkova batters OKTAGON 81 opponent with vicious elbows

Keep your eye on this “Sweetheart.”

Slovakian Flyweight up-and-comer, Veronika Smolkova, continued her rapid rise on the European scene, demolishing late replacement opponent, Marta Sos, in less than three minutes with a brutal barrage of elbows and punches today (Sun., Oct. 28, 2025) at OKTAGON 81 inside O2 Arena in Prague, Czech Republic.

Smolkova wasted little time asserting herself, pressing forward immediately and overwhelming Sos with pressure and clinch work. Once the fight hit close quarters, it was all over. Smolkova unleashed a savage series of elbows that left Sos helpless, forcing the referee to step in and wave it off before the three-minute mark.

Originally, Smolkova was slated to face her toughest test to date in former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Bantamweight, Stephanie Egger. However, Egger withdrew just days before the event, leaving Sos to step in on short notice — an unfortunate situation against a fighter clearly firing on all cylinders.

Watch the finish below:

Smolkova (8-3) is shaping up as a legitimate prospect to watch heading into 2026. The 23-year-old is now riding a six-fight win streak, with four of those victories coming by way of emphatic finishes. Her evolution has been striking.

After starting her professional career at 2-3 — including losses in UFL and her OKTAGON debut — Smolkova has flipped the script entirely, transforming into a far more aggressive, confident and downright violent finisher.
