The new UFC Mexico poster is patriotic enough to make Sean Strickland angry

Published:

Sean Strickland is a big fan of ICE and an even bigger fan of white people.

That said, “Tarzan” probably won’t be a fan of the new UFC Mexico poster, which uses the colors of the Mexican flag to celebrate the promotion’s return to Arena CDMX on Feb. 28 in Mexico City. The event is headlined by the flyweight contest pitting Brandon Moreno against Lone’er Kavanagh, a short-notice main event that was cobbled together after this untimely injury.

Have a look:

Nice poster … but not this nice.

“It was almost 10 years ago when I did my UFC debut, and then I was expecting to fight with the biggest names, but I was trying to make a name by myself,” Moreno previously told UFC.com. “But now, I’m like the veteran of the division, but still in my prime, trying to get the opportunity for the title.”

“You always have to believe in yourself, but being honest with you, that (time) when I lost against (Alexandre) Pantoja and (Sergio) Pettis and the UFC released me … you have your doubts a little bit,” Moreno revealed. “But with the help of my friends, my family, my close circle, I got the motivation. Now I have to be focused. This is a marathon, not a sprint. I have to keep going, and the belt is gonna come.”
