Andrey came out aggressively right from the start and once he got in on Mendes’ legs, it looked like the match might be over. Andrey entered the saddle and controlled the far leg too, cranking on a Z-lock that might have even caused some damage. Mendes didn’t tap though and Andrey switched to a heel hook on the near leg, putting a ton of pressure on it but failing to get the tap yet again. That was enough to earn him the decision win though and as the match wound down, Andrey leapt on a guillotine that looked fairly tight and sealed the victory even though Mendes escaped yet again.
