Efe Ajagba started off rather slow in the first two rounds against Charles Martin in the main event of Zuffa Boxing 3 inside the Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, but as is the case in the Heavyweight division all it takes is one big punch to turn the tides.
And that’s just what Ajagba did in round three, flooring Martin with a vicious right hand that dropped him. Martin was able to survive the round and even tagged Ajagba with a big shot of his won, but it was only a temporary shining moment for Martin, as the end came soon enough.
Indeed, in round four, Ajagba once again dropped Martin thanks to his powerful right hands. After managing to get back up, Martin was once again on the receiving end of a barrage of strikes from the Nigerian-born boxer, who eventually forced the referee on duty to put an end to the fight late in the fourth.
The win improves Ajagba’s record to 21-1-1, all while living up to his promise of delivering a knockout performance for his late father, who passed away in late 2025. As for Martin, he suffers his third loss in last five fights.
