Mario Barrios vs Ryan Garcia – How to watch it

Published:

On Saturday, Ryan Garcia is set to get another world title shot as he takes on Mario Barrios.

Barrios vs Garcia takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Barrios is the current WBC world champion at welterweight and has held the title since 2024.

The 30-year-old picked up the World Boxing Council interim title in 2023, beating Yordenis Ugas over 12 rounds.

He was upgraded to full world champion and has defended his title twice despite failing to win either fight.

‘El Azteca’ comes off back-to-back draws against Abel Ramos and Manny Pacquiao respectively.

He last fought in July, 2025 against 8-weight world champion Pacquiao at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas.

One judge had Barrios edging it 115-113 while the other two scored the contest 114-114.

He takes on Ryan Garcia, who most recently fell short against Rolando Romero in May when he challenged for his WBA world title.

Garcia fell short at the historic Times Square event, failing to impress.

He was dropped in the second round and didn’t have enough to pull it back over 12 rounds in a lacklustre showing.

Before the Romero fight, the 27-year-old fought current WBO world champion Devin Haney at super-lightweight.

He dropped Haney three times over the distance and was given the nod on the night, before the result was later overturned to a no contest following Garcia failing a pre-fight drug test.
