Joselyne Edwards turned in a gnarly finish earlier tonight (Sat., Feb. 21, 2026) at UFC Houston LIVE on Paramount+ from inside Toyota Center in Houston, Tex., stopping women’s bantamweight fighter Nora Cornolle with a vicious slam into a rear-naked choke submission.

These two women met once before back at UFC France in 2023, which saw Cornolle win a decision in her UFC debut. Cornolle had only gone 2-2 since then heading into Saturday night, while Edwards was 3-1 inside the Octagon coming off that first meeting. Edwards was a sizeable betting favorite for UFC Houston’s rematch due mostly to her recent success inside the cage.

The first round was nothing to write home about, but Edwards quickly changed that narrative midway through the second. The UFC veteran was able to gain some leverage along the cage and launched Cornolle with a big-time slam. Cornolle came down on her shoulder and was in immediate pain. Edwards unloaded heavy ground-and-pound before Cornolle looked to get back to her feet. Once she stood up Edwards jumped on her back and ended the fight with the submission finish.
