Tyson Fury is set to make his return to the ring this year.
Fury announced his retirement last January following a second straight loss to Oleksandr Usyk.
‘The Gypsy King’ had been adamant that he would not reverse his decision, but confirmed his return on Sunday.
“2026 is that year Return of the mac,” Fury posted on Instagram.
“Been away for a while but I’m back now, 37 years old and still punching.
“Nothing better to do than punch men in the face & get paid for it.”
Speculation has already begun over who the Morecambe man will face with Ring Magazine suggesting last month that he would have a warm-up bout before finally facing long-standing rival, Anthony Joshua.
The status of a Fury-Joshua bout is currently unknown, after ‘AJ’ was involved in a horror car crash which killed two of his friends in Nigeria last month.
Joshua suffered minor injuries and was in attendance as the pair were laid to rest at funerals on Sunday.

Fury was called out on Monday by former WBA ‘regular’ heavyweight champion, Mahmoud Charr.
‘The Gypsy King’ has previously flirted with the idea of a fight with the German and the 41-year-old reignited their back-and-forth earlier today.
“@tysonfury comeback?” he posted on Instagram.
“Don’t tell me comeback.
“Let’s do this fight.
“Fight the Arab Boxing King.
“Come champ, take the fight @tysonfury.”
Fury shared the post onto his Instagram story and commented: “Wow. Thought we were bros.”
Charr has not fought since losing his title to Kubrat Pulev in December 2024.
Speaking to reporters including Pro Boxing Fans at an IBA event in Istanbul in July, Fury claimed he would return for a third outing with Usyk.
“If I was going to come back I’d come back for Usyk, but I want a fair result in England.
“That would be the one I’d want immediately.
“That would be the fight I’d want next.”
