Sorry, Mike! Conor McGregor teases Floyd Mayweather rematch (with a catch) for UFC White House – ‘I am here’

May-Mac 2?

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) two-division champion Conor McGregor is targeting a spot on the historic UFC White House event scheduled for June 2026 on the South Lawn — which is being billed as “the baddest card of all time,” and McGregor has already positioned himself as a centerpiece of the unprecedented show.

All signs continue to point toward McGregor finally clashing with Michael Chandler, a matchup years in the making after the two coached opposite one another on The Ultimate Fighter Season 31. The bout was originally booked for UFC 303 in 2024 before a broken toe forced McGregor to withdraw at the last minute.

But on today, “The Notorious” briefly floated a far more outlandish idea: a rematch with Floyd Mayweather — this time under mixed martial arts (MMA) rules.

“Fun times @danawhite, @ufc.

The White House is nice in the summer I heard.

Just kidding Mike!

Although … I could fight both the same night. Floyd MMA? EASY. 10 seconds.”

As entertaining as the idea may be, it remains firmly in fantasy territory. Mayweather has repeatedly shut down the possibility of competing in MMA, even if a bout with McGregor would once again generate massive attention. The undefeated boxing legend is also reportedly planning an exhibition bout with Mike Tyson next year in Africa.
