Floyd Mayweather turned 49 last week.
Mike Tyson in April, Mike Zambidis in June, and Manny Pacquiao in September.
Mayweather is no stranger to tax debt, having previously petitioned the IRS for an extension to pay his overdue bill. I guess that kind of thing happens when you forget to cash those crumpled, $100 million checks. Hopefully one of his upcoming fights can help settle his Logan Paul tab from June 2021.
“I didn’t make as much money as you’d think fighting Floyd,” Paul told The Iced Coffee Hour. “He still owes me a million and a half, maybe more. He pre-sold the fight using my likeness to some company in I think Dubai or like the Middle East, this is my understanding of it, for 10 million dollars cash. We ended up doing the fight in the States with a different company.”
“That is the company that put on the fight,” Paul added. “That is the company that paid, but he sold our fight with my name and likeness to someone else in Dubai for 10 million dollars cash. It’s our fight, bro. Our deal was 15 percent. He smoked me. So I got 15 percent of it. 15 percent of 10 million dollars is 1.5 million dollars.”
“That company that paid him that money is suing him,” Paul said. “I actually don’t know the status on that lawsuit. He has a bunch of legal trouble at the moment. I don’t think I’m ever getting the money.”
In addition, Mayweather recently filed a $340 million lawsuit against Showtime.
Paul was soundly defeated by Mayweather during their lucrative 2021 exhibition matchup and it sounds like he took a second loss when the checks were cut. Whether or not Mayweather eventually settles his “embarrassing” lawsuit remains to be seen, but he doesn’t appear to have any trouble finding work.
