Jai Opetaia vs Brandon Glanton – How To Watch It

Published:

Jai Opetaia is set to make his Zuffa Boxing debut on Sunday as he takes on Brandon Glanton.

Opetaia comes into the fight with Glanton unbeaten.

Since turning professional in 2015, the Australian has been dominant, picking up 23 stoppage victories.

His last three fights have taken place in his home country of Australia, with all three contests ending before the start of the ninth round.

The Australian defeated former unified cruiserweight world champion Mairis Briedis in 2022.

Opetaia truly stamped his name on the world stage with a series of statement victories on Riyadh Season cards, including wins over Ellis Zorro, Briedis in their rematch, and Jack Massey, whose team was forced to throw in the towel.

His name has also been in the headlines after recently signing with Dana White’s Zuffa Boxing following years working with Eddie Hearn and Matchroom Boxing.

Opetaia currently holds the IBF and Ring Magazine cruiserweight world titles.

Despite holding the IBF belt, it will not be on the line against Glanton, as the pair will instead fight for the Zuffa Boxing cruiserweight crown.

Glanton comes into the contest off a big win against Marcus Browne, having headlined in Lagos, Nigeria last year.

Prior to the Browne victory, Glanton was outpointed by Chris Billam-Smith on the undercard of Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
