Pic: First official look at diamond-encrusted Zuffa Boxing championship belt for ‘Opetaia vs. Glanton’

Published:

Dana White recently presented Turki Al-Sheikh with the first-ever Zuffa Boxing championship belt and commemorated the gifting of the title with a picture on social media, though we really couldn’t get a good look at the highly-controversial strap.

Until now.

Indeed, Zuffa Boxing unveiled a detailed look at the title — which some in the business have called “cringe” — highlighting the specifics of the belt, which somewhat resembles the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) “BMF” strap that will be up for grabs this Saturday night (March 7, 2026) at UFC 326 in a bout between Charles Oliveira and Max Holloway.

Take a better look below:

As detailed in the pic, the title will have over 70 carats of diamonds though a lot of the criticism for the belt has to do with its monochrome look, which pales in comparison to the historic and highly-colorful WBC, IBF, WBA and The Ring straps.

The first awarding of the belt to an actual boxer will go down this Sunday night (March 8, 2026) as IBF and The Ring Cruiserweight champion, Jai Opetaia, battles Brandon Glanton for the inaugural strap in the main event of Zuffa Boxing 4 inside Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.
