Jarrell Miller makes bold prediction for Deontay Wilder vs Derek Chisora

Published:

Jarrell Miller has given his thoughts on how Deontay Wilder and Derek Chisora’s blockbuster showdown will play out.

Wilder takes on Chisora on April 4 at the O2 Arena, and Miller has revealed who he thinks edges it.

April 4th marks the 50th fight in both ‘The Bronze Bomber’ and ‘Del Boy’s’ careers, with the loser expected to retire.

Miller spoke to New Betting Offers and was honest about how he believes Wilder’s danger has diminished in recent years.

“Deontay’s skills deteriorated when he changed trainers.

“I feel like if Wilder would have stuck to his name, being a wild man, fighting wild and doing wild sh*t, he would still be a guy who’s threatening.

“But when you’re trying to tame down the beast and become a boxer, he’s not a boxer. He never made it through boxing the traditional way, and now you’re trying to change up his style. It’s not working for him.

“Styles make fights, and Chisora has a style that definitely hurts him.”

Prior to his trilogy with Tyson Fury, ‘The Bronze Bomber’ had a staggering record of 40 wins, with 39 coming by way of stoppage.

In recent years, however, he has appeared a different fighter, looking gun-shy in his back-to-back losses to Joseph Parker and Zhilei Zhang on Riyadh Season shows.

He was last in action in June 2025, when he stopped Tyrrell Herndon in the seventh round.

Miller continued and spoke about the skills Chisora possesses that could carry him to a massive victory in what he promises will be the final fight of his career.

“Chisora is one of those guys who is so durable.

“He’s so mentally strong. He has a physically fit engine.

“He might look tired, but he can still fight. Deontay can’t fight tired, not the way Chisora does.

“So, I’m thinking it’s Chisora in this one. Best man wins, but I think Chisora’s gonna get him.”

Chisora is on a three-fight winning streak following his stoppage defeat to Tyson Fury in 2022.

He went the distance in all three of those contests, picking up unanimous decision victories over Gerald Washington, Joe Joyce and Otto Wallin last time out.
