Dana White is still not ready to reveal his plans for how the UFC White House card will lineup come June 14. One thing is for sure: a Conor McGregor inclusion remains a possibility, following White’s remarks.
‘The Notorious’ has been linked with a return to the octagon for several years, and fans have not so patiently waited for fight news since his scheduled bout fallout against Michael Chandler in 2024. Reports of an appearance at the White House are heating up, but the UFC CEO has refused to share the fight card selection.
Since the event’s announcement, speculation about who will feature has been strong. Instead of building extra hype for the event, believing the once-in-a-lifetime occasion will do that without the added promotion, Dana White is choosing to keep his cards close to his chest until the time is right.
“I’ll announce the whole card this week,” White confirmed. “The card’s done. Yeah, the card’s done. We’ve been so secretive about this. So, I have all these boards, which I’m sure you’ve seen, hanging in our war room. This isn’t even on the board. We bring in a whiteboard, we write the fights down, and then we erase them. Every time we have a matchmaking meeting. Which usually, matchmaking meetings are every Tuesday. They’ve been every day for the last, you know, two and a half weeks.”
Speculation is mounting about who will be the chosen few to fight on the White House South Lawn.
Numerous names are continuing to be mentioned alongside the White House card. Jon Jones and Alex Pereira are often referenced, but Conor McGregor may be the most commonly linked. Dana White is quick to shoot down reporters’ questions regarding fighters’ next outings, but has left the door open for a McGregor White House showing.
“We’ll see,” White continued. “We’ll see, brother.”
