Dave Allen reveals the man to beat Oleksandr Usyk

Dave Allen has revealed he feels Agit Kabayel could be the man to beat Oleksandr Usyk.

Following Kabayel’s impressive run of form Allen believes he deserves his shot at Usyk.

The German was last in action on Saturday in a spectacular homecoming.

He packed out an arena in Oberhausen, Germany where thousands came out to see him.

He made no mistake stopping Damian Knyba in the third after a tough first round.

Allen spoke on his YouTube channel and revealed why he believes Kabayel should get a shot at the three-time undisputed world champion.

“[Usyk] is an all-time great fighter, but I don’t think he’s exceptionally great on the inside; they call it mid-range; I don’t think he’s great in the mid-range.

“I think Kabayel is the only man that can do it, and I still think he’s fresh enough.

“Stylistically, he’s all wrong for him. He’s the only heavyweight in the world who can get in that range you need to be to make it happen.”

Kabayel demanded the fight with Usyk himself after his knockout win live on the DAZN broadcast.

“I waited so long for this title shot, I’ve beaten three monsters on Riyadh Season give me the world title fight I am ready.”

As he mentioned Kabayel picked up three massive Riyadh Season wins that propelled him onto the world stage.

He stopped Arslanbek Makhmudov, Frank Sanchez and Zhilei Zhang in spectacular fashion.

Allen continued and revealed another fighter he feels could have the ability to cause Uksyk problems at the range he mentioned.

“I think the only man who can do that, Fabio Wardley, is exceptionally dangerous and a hard man.

“We’ve seen Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois not do it.”

Usyk looks set to return against Deontay Wilder at some point throughout the year so a fight with Kabayel would have to wait.
