Errol Spence Jr could be finally making his long-awaited return to the ring.
Spence Jr hasn’t fought since a brutal ninth round stoppage loss to Terence Crawford in their undisputed welterweight title showdown in July 2023.
The former unified world champion has never officially announced his retirement and has been linked with a clash with former stablemate, Jermell Charlo among others.
‘The Truth’ told Fight Hub TV last month that he may fight again and former world champion, Tim Tszyu is the latest man linked to a clash with him.
Former world champion, Paulie Malignaggi, who is currently in Australia’s for Tszyu’s brother Nikita’s bout with Michael Zerafa on Friday, claimed that a Spence-Tszyu fight is potentially in the works.
“A rumour here down under before we went on air is Tim Tszyu versus Errol Spence,” Malignaggi told Boxing Scene.
“If that is being rumoured, I wouldn’t put it past PBC to offer [Jermell] Charlo for Jaron Ennis.”

Tszyu, who was retired by WBC super welterweight titlist, Sebastian Fundora in the seventh round of their rematch in July, got back to winning ways with a unanimous decision win over Anthony Velazquez in December.
The pair have previously been linked with a showdown and Spence Jr entered the ring after Fundora overcame Tszyu in their first meeting in March 2024.
Tszyu has won two of his last five bouts, suffering a third round stoppage defeat to IBF champion, Bakhram Murtazaliev, who defends his crown against Josh Kelly on January 31.
The 31-year-old Australian remains ranked in the top 10 with both the IBF and the WBC.

George Rose, CEO of No Limit Boxing, which promote Tszyu, revealed that they plan for him to return in February.
“As soon as Tim’s ready, we’ll go again,” he told Boxing Scene.
“We were really interested in trying to put him on end of Feb, but given we’ve just finished December, we’ve just had Christmas, New Year’s, the timing hasn’t worked out perfectly.
“As soon as he’s ready to go.
“He pulled up fine from the last fight.

“He wants to be active in 2026; he wants to re-establish his name in the division, and then start taking names down.
“We’ll look for an opponent that is a step up.
“Who that’ll be, we’ll announce very soon.”
