Dana White is putting the NO in “Notorious.”
UFC White House is scheduled for June 14 in Washington, D.C., with 5,000 dignitaries cageside and another 85,000 fans across the street. For a card of that magnitude, it would make sense to book the biggest fights possible, along with the top names in the sport.
Like record-setting pay-per-view (PPV) king, Conor McGregor.
But if the former UFC two-division champion does compete on the White House lawn, it won’t be against former Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 31 coach, Michael Chandler.
It appears that ship has long-since sailed.
“No,” White told Complex when asked if he would consider booking McGregor vs. Chandler. “That was a couple of years ago. No.”
McGregor was scheduled to face Chandler at UFC 303 in June 2024 but withdrew with a broken toe.
“We’ll see if Conor is gonna come back or not,” White added. “We’ve been talking about it for a while … we’ll see how it plays out.”
McGregor won’t be going anywhere until he first completes his drug-testing suspension.
