Former WWE star keeps telling everyone he beat UFC’s Jon Jones in wrestling … now ‘Bones’ is biting back

Published:

Former UFC welterweight Matt Riddle, who was kicked out of the promotion by a bald, insecure TRT user, went on to enjoy the spotlight in WWE … and a few other things, judging by these drug test results.

Riddle, now 40, has been making the media rounds in recent weeks and told The Schmo he once defeated former UFC champ Jon Jones on the wrestling mats, a story that continues to get traction on various forms of social media.

Time for (another) RAF rematch?

Riddle sounds like he’s been suckin’ back on Grandpa’s old cough medicine.

“I could be the bigger man and let it go, but there’s another side of me that can be extremely petty,” Jones replied. “The truth is, I never wrestled Matt. I lost in the state semifinals to Jack Sullivan back in 2004. I actually like Matt as a person and hope he’s doing well. Wishing him all the best.”

Release the high school cut!

Jones, 38, went on to capture two UFC titles — and get into some of the same trouble as Riddle — following their days on the amateur wrestling circuit. “Bones” is currently out of action and playing coach for this future star, but is hoping to resurrect his career at UFC White House in June.

Whether or not UFC is interested remains to be seen.
