Fans notice shock change in Tyson Fury’s physique

Published:

Tyson Fury has ramped up his training camp for his comeback and fans have noticed a key difference in his physique.

Earlier this month, Fury announced he would be ending his near year-long retirement and be returning to the ring this year.

‘The Gypsy King’ has been training in Thailand with the goal of returning to the summit of the heavyweight division.

Some fans scoffed at his condition when he postage footage of himself hitting the bag, days after confirming his return.

Two-and-a-half weeks later though and the 37-year-old appears to have dropped the pounds with his new physique leaving supporters shocked.

Fury posted a video of himself sitting in an ice bath on Tuesday after revealing he’d done 15 rounds of training followed by 500 abs.

One fan commented: “Is that abs there?”

Another wrote: “This version of Tyson is going to hit different.”

While another added: “19 stone and u will be champ.”

The Morecambe man retired last January after suffering a second straight defeat to Oleksandr Usyk.

The two-time heavyweight world champion has named the Ukrainian as a potential option for this year as well as a meeting with WBO heavyweight world champion, Fabio Wardley.

Fury’s manager Spencer Brown confirmed to Pro Boxing Fans that Arslanbek Makhmudov is among the options for a likely April return.

Makhmudov claimed a unanimous decision victory over Dave Allen in October and was previously linked with a clash with Anthony Joshua.

Fury, who has retired and returned on multiple occasions throughout his 17-year professional career, made some alarming comments recently over the detrimental effect his latest comeback could have on his long-term health.

“I’m 38 this year,” he said in an Instagram video.

“I love to fight. I have zero other interests only fighting.

“At the end of it all I’ll be punchier than a motherf***** and I’ll probably end up in a wheelchair like the rest of them all.

“Punched to death.

“Don’t know if it’s Tuesday, Wednesday or December, but it’s the game I chose.”
