Derek Chisora LEAKS Oleksandr Usyk next opponent

Published:

Derek Chisora has seemingly leaked Oleksandr Usyk’s next challenge.

According to Chisora, who fought the Ukrainian in 2020, the two-time undisputed heavyweight titlist is going to face Andy Ruiz Jr.

Ruiz Jr, a former heavyweight champion himself, has not fought since a draw with Jarrell Miller in August 2024 and is not ranked by any of the sanctioning bodies.

“If the fight with Deontay happens and the winner fights Usyk that’ll be amazing,” Chisora told talkSPORT.

“Right now I’m hearing Usyk is fighting Andy Ruiz in Las Vegas.

“When we do make things happen with Deontay Wilder I’ll let you guys know.”

A representative for Usyk did not return messages by proboxing-fans.com seeking comment.

The 42-year-old Londoner claims his next fight, which will be the 50th of his career, will be his last.

The former world title challenger insists he hasn’t signed to face ‘The Bronze Bomber’, despite posting an image on social media earlier this week of him signing a contract.

Should the bout with Wilder get over the line, Chisora is hopeful of it being staged at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and believes he would knock out the Alabama man, who has won one of his last three bouts.

“For him to win this fight he has to knock me out,” he added.

“If he can’t do that, in round 10 or 12, I’m going to eat him up.

“That’s how I train.

“I just finished sparring right now and I ate the guys up and I haven’t sparred for almost six months.

“I like to fight. I like pain. I like everything.

“If the fight does happen, he’s going to get laid out.”
