Live: Watch Mario Barrios vs. Ryan Garcia kickoff press conference video stream

Published:

Garcia is coming off unanimous decision defeat at the hands of Rolando Romero in May 2025, putting him at 1-2-1 in his last four fights. Prior to that loss “King Ry’s” defeated Devin Haney, though that win was overturned to a “No Contest” after he failed pre- and post-fight drug tests, which resulted in a one-year suspension. Barrios, meanwhile, fought to a draw in his last two contests against Manny Pacquiao and Abel Ramos, so he is desperately trying to get back into the win column, all while securing one of the biggest wins of his career and holding on to his strap.

Before the two get it on inside the ring, they will embark on a press tour to promote the event, kicking things off today (Thurs., Jan. 22) at 4 p.m. ET in the embedded video above. For Garcia, getting a win over Barrios means he no longer has to play second fiddle to anyone on fight week.

“I really don’t like that his name being first on the poster so i am going to make sure I whoop his ass,” he said recently.
