Derek Chisora sends BRUTAL warning to Deontay Wilder

Published:

Derek Chisora has warned Deontay Wilder that he will “eat him up” should the pair clash later this year.

Chisora and Wilder are reportedly finalising a deal for a heavyweight showdown in London in April.

The 42-year-old is on a run of three straight victories since losing for a third time to Tyson Fury, overcoming Otto Wallin on points in his last outing in February.

Wilder, 40, has won one of his last three bouts and was expected to face unified heavyweight world champion, Oleksandr Usyk.

“For him to win this fight he has to knock me out,” he told talkSPORT.

“If he can’t do that, in round 10 or 12, I’m going to eat him up.

“That’s how I train.

“I just finished sparring right now and I ate the guys up and I haven’t sparred for almost six months.

“I like to fight. I like pain. I like everything.

“If the fight does happen, he’s going to get laid out.”

Despite the reports, the Londoner insists the bout is not yet signed and is hopeful it will land at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, which staged his defeat to Fury in December 2022.

Chisora will be entering his 50th professional bout and claims he will finally call time on his near 20-year career following one last fight.

Fury has fought both me on three occasions each and has backed his compatriot to hand ‘The Bronze Bomber’ a fifth professional loss.

“I’ve just seen that Chisora and Deontay Wilder are going to do a fight,” he said in a video posted on Instagram on Wednesday.

“I think this is a great fight.

“I’ve fought both of these men three times each actually.

“I think it’s a very good fight, but on this one I’m going to go with my boy Del Boy War Chisora for a stoppage.”
