Fighters will have the chance to earn up to $100,000 in post-fight performance awards under UFC’s new bonus system, starting with Saturday night’s UFC 324 card on Paramount+.
While speaking with Sports Business Journal, White revealed that UFC will roll out a new post-fight bonus structure for UFC 324 and beyond. Instead of the usual $50,000 for Performance of the Night awards and Fight of the Night awards, the promotion will now shell out $100,000. Not too shabby.
In addition, a new bonus has been introduced on top of that. If a fighter misses out on their chance to lock up a $100k post-fight award they’ll still have the opportunity to get a $25,000 bonus if they finish a fight via knockout or submission. That’s a huge win for those fighters who used to miss out on some extra money.
UFC 324 will go down later tonight in “Sin City” and feature a main event clash between Justin Gaethje and Paddy Pimblett for the interim lightweight title. It will be UFC’s debut on Paramount+ and the first event with the new bonus structure.
