In this fast-paced MMA world, a “leaked” fight announcement can spread through the community faster than fire. We all crave the inside scoop. We love to know fight news before our friends and the rest of the world. But there is a massive difference between an industry insider and a digital arsonist. This is where KevinK, aka KrazyKev steps in: the “reporter” who has turned fabrication into his 9-5.

Legitimate journalists and insiders spend months to years vetting contacts and confirming leaks whilst KrazyKev spends 5 minutes on X concocting fantasies. His latest masterpiece? The complete baseless claim that Khamzat Chimaev is jumping up to 205lbs to fight Jiri Prochazka for a “vacant” title. It’s bold and it’s exciting but it is a lie. If you’re tired of being treated like a casual fan who can’t tell fact from fiction, read along as we dissect KevinK and why this “source” is the single greatest threat to MMA media credibility today.

1.6 million views, 5,000 likes, and 0% truth. This ‘Breaking News’ isn’t news, it’s fan fiction.

Every time an account like Kevin’s hits “post” on a lie, the foundation of MMA journalism cracks a little further. We are witnessing a ruthless “race to the bottom” as seen with other accounts in the space such as Rueben Carter. Legitimate outlets, the ones who actually pick up the phone and vet sources, are being drowned out by pure sensationalism. It is a war for your attention, and the weapons are fake graphics and “Breaking News” sirens.

The damage is systemic:

  • Algorithms are trapped through “rage-farming” which boosts this fake news’ reach
  • An explosion of fake news leads to a polluted feed
  • The constant misleading headlines drive fans away
  • When a fake rumour like this reaches 1.6m people, it devalues the entire sport
Innocent fan falling for KrazyKev’s propaganda.

A single screenshot proves the importance of the scam. We see a fan account, fueled by excitement, reposting a graphic of Chimaev and Procházka as if it were gospel. They aren’t just sharing a post; they are amplifying a delusion. This is the goal of the propaganda. By mimicking the aesthetic of official UFC broadcasts, KevinK creates a “veneer of truth” that exploits the average fan’s passion.

When you see a fan falling for the trap, don’t blame them. Blame the architect. KevinK has built a business model out of making the community look gullible and stupid. He isn’t serving the fans.

KevinK’s Damage Control. Source: trust me bro.

This is the most dangerous stage of the scam. By posting a cropped, anonymous direct message (the digital equivalent of a “trust me, bro”) he attempts to gaslight his 1.6 million viewers into believing that the fight was real until the very last second. He claims the UFC “changed their mind” after a specific event, effectively using the unpredictable nature of the sport as a shield for his own lack of sources. This tactic is designed to keep his followers on the hook, making them believe he was “first” to a story that never actually existed.

The “evidence” he provides is a laughingstock to anyone with a basic understanding of how the UFC operates. A blurry, unsourced text bubble is presented as a definitive insider leak, yet it lacks any context, timestamp, or verifiable identity. It is a desperate attempt to maintain the illusion of credibility while pivoting to a new fake announcement involving Carlos Ulberg. He is shifting goalposts to ensure the cycle of fake news continues.

The Face of Fake News in MMA.

This isn’t journalism. KevinK isn’t reporting on the UFC. He is writing fan-fiction and calling it news. Every time he is caught in a lie, he simply invents a “change of plans” to cover his tracks. KevinK is not an insider. He is a digital architect of disappointment who relies on the community’s passion to fuel his engagement metrics.

The solution is simple but requires collective discipline: brush the fabricators, ignore the engagement farmers, and return your attention to the journalists who actually put their reputations on the line with every report. By starving these accounts of the attention they crave, we reclaim the narrative of the sport we love. Let this be the final hoax this man inflicts upon our community. Next time KevinK posts a leak, remember the receipts, remember the gaslighting and remember the lies. The truth in MMA shouldn’t be a luxury, it should be standard.

“I have a weird thing for liking people who are broken.” Translation: I seek out people I can control and manipulate. This explains every single interaction he has had with women in the MMA community. A walking, talking red flag.

KevinK’s logic: if a woman posts a photo at a rave, she “owes” him a peach pic. He thinks having a platform gives him the right to harass women for nudes, then acts like the victim when they rightfully block his weird behavior.

This is where the “incel” rhetoric starts to leak out. “I really don’t get what they want.” It’s the classic cry of a man who views women as a different species to be solved rather than people to be respected. This “confusion” is exactly what leads to the slurs later on.

The Incel Playbook 101: Harass a woman for nudes, get blocked, and then immediately claim she “wasn’t that great looking” anyway. KevinK’s ego is so fragile he has to insult a woman’s body the second he realizes his corny lines failed.

He really thought he was the main character here. From fake title fights to fake “husband and wife” drama, the guy is allergic to the truth. Just pure, unadulterated yapping.
