Bakhram Murtazaliev sends clear message to Jaron Ennis

On January 31, at the Newcastle Arena, Newcastle, Bakhram Murtazaliev vs Josh Kelly headlines a Matchroom Boxing card live on DAZN. Murtazaliev’s IBF super welterweight title will be on the line.

Ahead of this world title clash, the heavy-handed Russian spoke to BoxingScene and sent a clear message to Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis.

When asked if he would like to fight Jaron Ennis, should he successfully defend his IBF super welterweight title:

“For Bakhram, he’s always ready, and you know and Ennis can fight with him anytime, it’s a matter of you know business, right? So his doors are open for him, and if he wants, he can fight,” said Bakhram through an interpreter.

“On the medias they talk that they can they want to fight the best and when it comes to the business, they try to avoid the fight or they they put the amount of the money the business money that you know is too high that you know not affordable for the fight,” added the IBF champion.

If Bakhram comes through this test against Kelly, a showdown with ‘Boots’ would be a huge clash of styles that should provide plenty of fireworks. The relentless pressure from Murtazaliev against the slick skills of Ennis.
