Boxing odds for Anderson Silva’s ring return favor ‘Spider’ to smoke UFC vets Chris Weidman, Yoel Romero

Published:

Former UFC middleweight champion, Anderson Silva, has been retired from cage fighting for over five years.

But that hasn’t stopped “The Spider” from beating up MMA fighters. In fact, Silva is less than two weeks removed from his destruction of former UFC welterweight champion, Tyron Woodley.

Not bad for a 50 year-old striker who was passed over by nearly every major promotion.

Following his knockout victory over “The Frozen One,” Silva called for a trilogy against longtime rival, Chris Weidman. In addition, ex-UFC middleweight, Yoel Romero, also wants a bite of “The Spider.”

SportsBetting.ag backs the Brazilian to beat both.

Anderson Silva -200
Yoel Romero +150

Anderson Silva -400
Chris Weidman +250

Silva (4-2, 3 KOs) was originally expected to fight Weidman but the “All American” was felled by injury, paving the way for Woodley. As for Romero, he’s coming off a wrestling win over Pat Downey for RAF earlier this month in Indianapolis.

Expect MVP matchmakers to keep these fights in mind when building the undercard for Jake Paul’s (eventual) return.
