Callum Walsh vs Carlos Ocampo – Odds and Betting Guide

Published:

Callum Walsh is expected to hand Carlos Ocampo a fourth professional defeat when the pair meet in a 10-round clash in Las Vegas on Friday.

Walsh (15-0, 11 KOs) puts his unbeaten record on the line against Ocampo (38-3, 26 KOs) at the Meta Apex in the inaugural Zuffa Boxing Card, live on Paramount Plus.

The rising Irish middleweight defeated the previously undefeated, Fernando Vargas Jr on the undercard of Terence Crawford’s win over Canelo Alvarez in September and is a strong favourite to overcome his Mexican challenger, priced at 2/15 with Bet365.

Ocampo has only lost in good company to Errol Spence Jr, Sebastian Fundora and Tim Tszyu, but is a 19/4 underdog with Bet365 to upset the 24-year-old.

Ocampo was stopped by both Spence and Tszyu and Walsh, who has halted 11 of his 15 opponents, is tipped to do the same at 11/8.

The 30-year-old is on a run of three straight wins since defeat to Tszyu all by knockout and is backed at 17/2 to produce another stoppage victory, while a points win is priced at 14/1.

Walsh has been the distance in his last two bouts and is backed at 1/1 to overcome his rival on points.
