Conor McGregor hasn’t given up on fights with Logan and Jake Paul: ‘The YouTuber fights will come’

Published:

Conor McGregor hasn’t given up on the idea of fighting influencers like KSI, Jake Paul, and Logan Paul.

A year ago, McGregor went off on his own and tried to set up a big money boxing match against Logan Paul, funded by India’s ultra-wealthy Ambani family. While it’s not clear exactly what led Conor’s bosses at UFC and TKO to shut things down, the fight obviously didn’t happen.

But that doesn’t mean it will never happen … way off in the future after McGregor is done with his real fighting career.

“I had a sweet deal there,” McGregor told Bloody Elbow in a video recorded before Christmas. “Look, them YouTuber fights will come. I’m coming back for glory, for the gold belt, for the triple crown. That’s what I’m after. So all these other nixers? Look at Mike Tyson, look how fresh he looks, he’s an inspiration to me.”

McGregor has never lacked for ambition, but it’s questionable whether his body (or mind) can still survive the kind of grueling training camp needed to get him back in fighting shape after 5 years away from the sport. At least we’ll know one way or another come June, and then we’ll see how far into the future his influencer fighting career really is.
