It was announced this morning that Tyson Fury will be making a comeback against Arslanbek Makhmudov and Dave Allen provided a breakdown of how he feels the fight will play out.
Allen fought Makhmudov in October and has sparred Fury on multiple occasions over the years.
Fury vs Makhmudov will take place live on Netflix on April 11th in the United Kingdom.
In his last fight, Allen was outpointed by ‘The Lion’ over 12 rounds.
Ahead of the fight with ‘The White Rhino’, Makhmudov discussed a possible fight with Anthony Joshua he was hoping for, however it is Fury he will fight instead.
Allen gave his thoughts on the fight in a video uploaded to his YouTube channel.
“I am going to go for a Fury win rounds seven to 10, but he has to be careful because Makhmudov can hit.”
He went on to discuss the pedigree of Fury and how he should prove to be far too much for the Russian.
‘The Gypsy King’ is a two-time heavyweight world champion and has fought some of the best fighters of his generation, including Wladimir Klitschko and Oleksandr Usyk.
“Tyson Fury [should] make him miss, move and frustrate him for seven or eight rounds then stop him.
“Makhmudov is very good, good boxer, good jab.
“If Tyson Fury is anywhere near where he was at his best then he is better than very good.”

Allen was one of just four fighters to face Makhmudov and hear the final bell.
The Lion has a knockout percentage of over 90% in the fights he has won.
“If Makhmudov hits him, then Makhmudov will flatten him.
“I was scared of boxing Makhmudov.

“The only question mark is what he has left, the Wilder fights were incredibly hard.”
By April, Fury will not have fought in over 15 months and comes off back-to-back losses.
His losses to Usyk were the first of his 37-fight career.

“On recent form that is two defeats, could have been three so that has to be a worry.
“In no way in those fights did I think age or anything like that played a factor.
“I thought Usyk’s engine was just too much, he was too fit.”
