Following the postponement of the ‘Magnificent 7’ card featuring Moses Itauma vs Jermaine Franklin, Frank Warren has revealed all.
Warren admitted the importance of a fight like Itauma vs Franklin for the card to go ahead successfully.
It was announced on Tuesday that the whole card had been postponed due to an injury sustained in Itauma’s camp.
Warren spoke to TalkSport and explained why the card could not go ahead.
“When you’re looking at that type of show, which was all based around seven title fights, headed up by a great fight between Moses and Franklin, losing that was hard to replace.
“You’re never going to please everybody.
“We thought the best thing to do under the circumstances was to reschedule it.”
Warren revealed Itauma suffered a bicep tear in training and a new date of March 28 has been set.
Franklin was on paper set to be one of Itauma’s toughest tests.

The 21-year-old was last in action in August, where he headlined in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
He blew away Dillian Whyte in one round in what seemed a real step-up going into the fight.
As Warren touched on, the card featured seven title fights on the undercard.
Stoke-based fighter Nathan Heaney who was set to feature spoke to BBC Stoke & Staffordshire on the postponement.

“You only get paid when you fight.
“So if there is no fight you obviously don’t get paid.
“For me though that’s why when I put out about the tickets, I pay for all of the postage for people around the UK.
“It might not sound a lot to one person, but if I add it all up I have saved my supporters over the years £25,000 in just postal deliveries.
“What I was worried about is if they cancel the tickets that would mean I’d have to spend weeks and hours and hours… The tickets roll on now.”
Heaney shared a social media post on the day the fight was postponed detailing how gutting the situation was.

In a touch of class, Warren revealed he and the Queensberry team were prepared to financially support any of the fighters affected by the situation.
“Fighters have trained over Christmas and, if any of them are struggling financially, we’ll make sure we look after them.”
The card is set to take place on the rescheduled date of March 28.
