English boxing promoter Frank Warren is reportedly preparing to sue Zuffa Boxing and TKO Holdings Group for $1 billion.
Warren’s British-based Queensberry Promotions has sent letters to Saudi Arabia’s Sela and TKO Group Holdings stating its intention to sue both for breach of contract over the formation of Zuffa Boxing. According to a report by The Telegraph, Queensberry is seeking up to $1 billion for income the promotion alleges it would have earned had its contractual agreements been honored.
Queensberry claims it signed an exclusivity agreement with Sela in September 2023 for ‘operational expertise.’ Queensberry also claims it had a separate agreement with TKO Group that gave TKO access to data, including details of Queensberry’s contract with Sela. Warren maintains that information was privileged.
Sela and TKO inked a five-year deal with each other and formed Zuffa Boxing in June 2025 without Queensberry’s involvement. Sela denies Warren’s claims.
A representative for Sela told Boxing News Online: “We are disappointed by the unfounded claims brought by Queensberry and Frank Warren. We reject them in their entirety and are confident that the facts will fully vindicate our position.”
“From late 2023 through mid-2025, Queensberry was the primary promotional partner for Saudi Arabia’s boxing investments,” Boxing Insider noted. That relationship appears to have crumbled ahead of Zuffa Boxing’s creation.
