“Maverick” is going home.
Veteran Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Welterweight Michael Chiesa will get a long-awaited homecoming when he squares off against Carlston Harris at UFC Seattle on Sat., March 28, 2026, inside Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington.
The promotion announced the fight on social media.
Chiesa (19-7), who fights out of Spokane Valley, Washington — roughly four hours from Seattle — will essentially be competing in front of a home crowd. The 21-fight UFC veteran was originally slated to compete on last year’s UFC Seattle card, but the bout ultimately fell through, making this return to the Pacific Northwest even sweeter.
For what it’s worth, the last time Chiesa fought in Seattle, he got submitted by Jorge Masivdal.
Harris (19-7) enters the matchup looking to halt some recent momentum going in the wrong direction. After starting his UFC run with four straight wins — including impressive stoppages of Impa Kasanganay (watch highlights) and Jeremiah Wells — the Guyanese Welterweight is now riding a two-fight losing streak, both by knockout.
Most recently, Harris was stopped by Santiago Ponzinibbio at UFC Vegas 101 (watch highlights), a result that makes this matchup against a surging Chiesa a pivotal one for his future in the division.
With a motivated hometown favorite on a winning streak and a desperate finisher trying to snap a skid, Chiesa vs. Harris adds another intriguing storyline to an already fun UFC Seattle lineup.
