Conor McGregor has a date and opponent. Now he just needs a contract.

That’s according to an update he tweeted — and later deleted — late last night on social media. While nothing is official at this time, the 37 year-old McGregor has been loosely attached to the upcoming UFC White House card in June.

“I have been offered an opponent and a date and I accept,“ the former two-division champion wrote. ”Waiting on my contract.“

McGregor (22-6) is likely the marquee attraction in one (or both) of the two options being considered for the June 14 lineup. That said, not everyone is convinced “Notorious” will make the walk on the White House lawn, soon to be ripped up to make way for the UFC Octagon.

I guess the Playboy Mansion is no longer an option, either.

Despite his fame, the aging McGregor has not competed since summer 2021 and holds just one victory over the last nine years, a 2020 drubbing over shopworn “Cowboy” Donald Cerrone. No word yet on a potential opponent, but UFC CEO Dana White made it abundantly clear it won’t be this former TUF guy.

Stay tuned.
