Francis Ngannou was released by PFL earlier this week and remains a free agent.
No word yet on what the 39 year-old “Predator” has planned for his next move, nor do we know what his available options are for 2026. Despite the optimism of his inner circle, it’s not unreasonable to think Ngannou (18-3) burned his bridge back to UFC after this physical confrontation.
That said, accounts vary on who actually started the drama.
BetOnline.ag today released hypothetical odds on the future of Ngannou.
Will Ngannou fight in UFC by end of 2026?
Yes +600, No -1000
Ngannou’s next combat sports fight?
Boxing -200, MMA +150
Ngannou is currently 0-2 in the “sweet science.”
Ngannou has yet to make a statement on his release from PFL.
A return at UFC White House against Jon Jones or a fighter of that caliber sounds like the kind of fantasy booking that fans would argue for on the message boards. We don’t know if Ngannou has been training or if he would even want to return to penny-pinching UFC when boxing payouts are much more lucrative.
Less UFC … more MVP?
