Jack Della Maddalena will make his return to the Octagon for the first time since losing his 170-pound title.
Waiting to greet him in the UFC Perth main event, recently made official for May 2 at RAC Arena in Western Australia, is No. 5-ranked welterweight contender Carlos Prates, no stranger to knocking out former UFC champs.
Della Maddalena (18-3) opened as the +145 underdog against -165 for Prates (23-7), according to BetOnline.ag. It didn’t take long for money to come pouring in for the 29 year-old Aussie and the betting line currently stands at +100 for Della Maddalena and -120 for Prates.
Don’t be surprised to see continued movement as we get closer to fight night.
Della Maddalena surrendered his strap to Islam Makhachev at UFC 322 last fall. As for Prates, he was last seen putting the screws to Leon Edwards on the very same fight card. No other bouts have been revealed for UFC Perth but you can expect new matchups to start rolling in over the next few weeks.
