Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua Weigh In Results

Published:

Jake Paul came in almost 27 pounds lighter than Anthony Joshua ahead of their heavyweight clash in Miami on Friday.

Paul faces Joshua in an eagerly-awaited professional showdown at the Kaseya Center, live on Netflix.

‘AJ’, the former two-time heavyweight champion, was restricted to weighing in no higher than 245lbs and the Watford man comfortably made the limit, tipping the scales at 243.3lbs, a career-lightest at the official weigh in on Thursday afternoon at Sparkle Ballroom at Fontainebleau Miami Beach.

The 36-year-old is over nine pounds lighter than he weighed for his September 2024 defeat to Daniel Dubois, where he came in at 252.lbs.

Paul, who weighed in much earlier than his rival, came in at a light 216.lbs, 26.9 pounds lighter than Joshua.

The 28-year-old is over 11 pounds lighter than he weighed for his only other heavyweight bout against Mike Tyson last November.

‘The Problem Child’ is over 16 pounds lighter than he was against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr in his last outing in July.

Paul’s lighter physique along with the pair fighting in a 22-by-22-foot ring indicates his plan is to box rather than engage in a firefight with the Brit, who has a near 90% knockout ratio.

“This is going to be the biggest upset in the history of sports,” Paul said at Wednesday’s final press conference.

“And you guys get to witness it.”

Joshua sent a chilling warning to the YouTuber-turned-boxer on Tuesday, suggesting that Paul’s life could be at risk.

“Zero part of me [is going to take it easy on him], and it’s not even that it’s Jake Paul,” the 36-year-old told media.

“Do you know I was actually looking at myself today, I’m a very respectful guy, brought up by a good family, but if I can kill you, I will kill you.

“That’s just how I am, and this is just the job I do. So, let’s go.”

The pair will come face-to-face for the final time before their bout at the ceremonial weigh-in later on Thursday at Fillmore Miami Beach at 6pm ET.
