Published:

On February 21, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Mario Barrios vs Ryan Garcia headlines The Ring: High Stakes fight card. They will clash for Barrios’ WBC welterweight title, live on DAZN Pay-Per-View. The undercard has some intriguing matchups, including Gary Antuanne Russell vs Andy Hiraoka.

Ahead of the main event, Keyshawn Davis has appeared on the Come And Talk 2 Me Podcast, revealing his pick for Mario Barrios vs Ryan Garcia.

Keyshawn Davis breaks down Mario Barrios vs Ryan Garcia

Barrios (29-2-2, 18 KOs) is the reigning WBC welterweight champion, having defended the title twice with two draws against Abel Ramos and Manny Pacquiao. Adding an extra layer to this bout, Joe Goossen, the former trainer of Garcia, will be in Barrios’ corner.

Garcia (24-2, 20 KOs) lost his last fight against Rolly Romero and needs a win to revitalise his career. Regardless of Garcia’s obvious skills, he has not officially won a fight since beating Oscar Duarte in 2023.

When asked about Mario Barrios vs Ryan Garcia, Davis said: “If Ryan Garcia was focused in this camp & was really taking this seriously….I think Ryan should win a fairly easy fight, honestly. I know Ryan personally from the amateurs. Ryan Garcia can really fight, but the focus level as a professional wasn’t always there.

“If he’s really focused for his first world title fight, he should win this fight fairly easily.”
