Mike Tyson feels ‘incredible,’ confirms he’s still fighting Floyd Mayweather Jr. in 2026: ‘You think I’d give that up?’

Published:

Remember that proposed superfight between legendary boxers Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather Jr.?

Well, it’s apparently still happening.

Last September, news leaked that a matchup between Tyson and Mayweather was signed for Spring of 2026. Fight fans were taken back a little bit by the fight news considering the age and size gap between “Iron Mike” and “Money,” but they were still excited to see the two boxing greats go toe-to-toe. Despite the fight being “signed,” no date, location, venue, or streaming service was revealed at the time.

Tyson, who would be putting his health on the line in a potential matchup against Mayweather, confirmed earlier this week in an interview with TMZ Sports (shown in the above video player) that a fight against “Money” is definitely still on. Tyson also claims that he feels “incredible” despite turning 60 years old this coming June.

“Yeah it’s happening. S—t yeah it’s happening,” said Tyson. “You think I’d give that up? I was minding my business and he challenged me.”

What do you think, Maniacs? Is this boxing superfight actually going to happen or are we spinning our wheels?

Sound off!
