Most Valuable Promotions have continued to make an impressive impact on boxing, hosting huge events, such as Jake Paul’s fights against Mike Tyson and Anthony Joshua. Co-founders Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian have also curated the most impressive stable of female boxers, and on April 5, MVP will host a stacked show in London, with Caroline Dubois vs Terri Harper topping the bill. The rest of the card features world title fights and unification showdowns. This is not a supporting act. It stands on its own.
MVP host stacked show topped by Caroline Dubois vs Terri Harper
Caroline Dubois vs Terri Harper tops the bill over 10 rounds in a WBC and WBO women’s lightweight unification. It feels like a natural collision between a rising force and an established champion who has rebuilt her career more than once.
Dubois (12-0-1, 5 KOs) has been groomed as one of the standout talents of her generation, sharp, composed and spiteful when needed. Harper (16-2-2, 6 KOs), meanwhile, has reinvented herself across weight classes, showing resilience after setbacks and proving she belongs at world level.
This is not a learning fight. It is champion versus champion with genuine consequence. Dubois will want to control the tempo. Harper will look to punch between Dubois’ punches. The winner leaves with two belts and momentum in a division that is finally gathering depth. Dubois is the favourite with most bookies, but Harper backers can check the odds at various sportsbooks.
Ellie Scotney on the brink of undisputed
If the main event wasn’t enough, Ellie Scotney (11-0, 0 KOs) takes on Mayelli Flores (13-1-1, 4 KOs) in a four-belt unification at super bantamweight.
Scotney has quietly built a reputation as an exceptional boxer. Her excellent lateral movement, punch placement and ring IQ have seen her waltz through every opponent so far. Flores arrives as the WBA champion, with a hunger to be undisputed. A volume puncher who applies steady pressure, Flores will look to test Scotney, but she will need to find a way to disrupt the Brit’s silky rhythm.
Chantelle Cameron eyes another world title
Chantelle Cameron (21-1, 8 KOs) will also be on the card as she faces Michaela Kotaskova (11-0-4, 2 KOs) for the vacant WBO super welterweight world title.
Cameron remains one of the world’s best fighters and is the only boxer to defeat Katie Taylor. Kotaskova, despite being undefeated, is taking a steep step up in class to face the Brit. Her best win came against Mikaela Lauren.
Cameron’s experience at the highest level should ensure she comes out on top. But it remains to be seen just how much she has left to offer at world level.
Irma Garcia defends against Emma Dolan
Rounding off the major title fights on the Caroline Dubois vs Terri Harper card, Irma Garcia defends her IBF super flyweight belt against Emma Dolan.
Garcia (25-5-1, 5 KOs) brings a plethora of experience to the ring. She is undefeated since 2022 and has operated at a high level. The 44-year-old Mexican southpaw is awkward, but she will have her hands full with the talented Brit.
Dolan (8-0, 1 KO) has scored impressive wins over Nicola Hopewell, Shannon Ryan, and Lauren Parker. The Brit moves well and puts her punches together.
It is a night built on risk. Risk for Dubois as she steps into her biggest test. Risk for Scotney with undisputed status within touching distance. Risk for Cameron as she looks to reclaim a belt. Risk for Dolan against an established champion.
And in boxing, risk is what makes it matter. April 5 looks set to be a historic night for women’s boxing.
