It appears that former UFC double champion Conor McGregor will not be making his long-awaited Octagon return at UFC’s White House card this June.

According to MMA reporter Ariel Helwani, UFC is likely skipping McGregor for Trump’s birthday bash in favor of some other tantalizing matchups. Instead, UFC officials could be looking to bring “Notorious” back for International Fight this July in Las Vegas, Nevada. That is well-known to be one of UFC’s most lucrative weeks all year and with little money to make from an invite-only crowd at UFC White House is makes financial sense.

“It doesn’t look like it’s gonna be Conor on the White House card,” said Helwani. “They have an International Fight Week card scheduled for July 11. There’s a greater chance of him fighting on that card than on the White House card. There’s no money to be made from the White House event.”

We’ll have to wait and see how the UFC White House lineup looks next week, but for now it appears McGregor won’t be on it.
