Polaris vs. WNO all-stars, Levi Jones-Leary’s return highlights stacked BJJ co-promotion at Polaris 35

Published:

Polaris, one of the best and longest running professional grappling promotions, announced that it was moving on from UFC Fight Pass to FloGrappling late in 2025. Their next event is at Polaris 35 on January 31, 2026, and we are about to see the fruits of that new partnership this weekend.

FloGrappling has been hosting pro events through WNO, and in their first event together, Polaris will be utilizing top grapplers from their now former rival BJJ promotion. Polaris 35 has been stacked card with big name Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) stars, and topped by a Polaris vs. WNO all-stars match up.

BJJ champs from both promotions will face off under Polaris’ trademark “Squads” team grappling format, and will feature a fun line up that guarantees fireworks. Polaris will be represented by four of six of their inaugural Squads champions, with Jozef Chen and Mateusz Szczecinski being replaced by Lucas Kanard and Meyram Maquine. WNO, on the other hand, will feature their new Open Weight GP champion Declan Moody, and brothers DeAndre Corbe and Gavin Corbe among others.

Polaris All-Stars:

  • Under 95 kg: Eoghan O’Flanagan, Lucas Kanard, Santeri Lilius
  • Under 80 kg: Meyram Maquine, Owen Jones, Taylor Pearman

WNO All-Stars:

  • Under 95 kg: Declan Moody, Luccas Lira, Devhonte Johnson
  • Under 80 kg: Gavin Corbe, DeAndre Corbe, Chris Wojcik

The promotion also made a nice PRIDE / Japanese MMA style poster for the event:

Outside of the Polaris vs. WNO match up, two excellent super-fights are also on the card: CJI 1 star Levi Jones-Leary makes his return in a title bout against Davis Asare, while ADCC double champ Adele Fornarino takes on Selma Vik.
